Delegations
We encourage participants to attend the Summit with a delegation -- peer groups from respective metropolitan regions or areas of interest. Delegation members benefit from having a learning community to share Summit experiences, navigate Summit programming options and support networking. Delegations are typically formed prior to the Summit to define their goals, meet periodically during the Summit, and continue meeting after the event to translate their understanding of equity into local, state, and national campaigns. Delegations can be defined by geography, issue areas, or shared approaches. This organizing model can also serve to bridge new strategic partnerships or support a network of foundation grantees.
PolicyLink staff can assist you in forming a delegation or joining an existing delegation. For inquiries, contact Amber Washington at Amber@PolicyLink.org .
Delegation Participant Application
If your region or group has been pre-approved for a delegation by PolicyLink, please fill out the delegation participant form here .
Delegation support is generally limited to one recipient per organization/institution, however, exceptions can be made. Support will be provided based on need, and preference will be given to applicants that are at organizations focused on equity issues. Support can be used to cover registration fees, airfare, train and/or lodging. Due to limited resources, and in the interest of providing financial assistance to as many people as possible, delegation support cannot cover:
- Incidentals
- Food costs beyond the meals provided at the summit
- Ground transportation (taxi, bus, subway, etc.)
- Changes to travel ticket arrangements (Please note that once issued, all airline tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable.)
